RESCUES

July 16th 2008

I received a phone call from someone in St Austell. That a badger was trapped between two houses. When myself and Lucy arrived we were told it had gone. So after a search we located it in one of the neighbours sheds.
After catching it we transported it to our local vet for treatment. It had been hit by a car, it had a damaged lower lip and had sustained a bite to its lower back.

Later that evening I went with my fellow helpers Katheryn and Ian to pick it up from the vets. We took it to our recouperation pens, where she  will stay for a few days. I will administer some more antibiotics and it should recover fully. We will then take her back to her sett and reintroduce her to her family, a good end to a rescue I'm sure you'll agree.
Bob.
