A badger was found lying in a field, dazed and uncoordinated, amid horses. A vet check found no wounds and assumed the head trauma had been caused by a kick. Daisy gradually improved and two weeks later was well enough to be released, hopefully avoiding those hooves in future.

Pepsi and Cola June 9th Helston
Two fox cubs had been spotted in a storm drain at a waste water treatment centre - a real mystery as to how they had got there. The RSPCA had a difficult job to rescue them but eventually succeeded. After a night at the vets recovering from the ordeal, the cubs came into our care. We had hoped to keep them until ready for release, but due to the size/age difference, they were unable to go with the other foxes in our care and Secret World offered them a place
Nessie June 17th St.Agnes
A badger cub had been seen at various times on a housing estate. Eventually it was caught and we collected it. The cub had been sleeping in a compost heap, her coat was full of grass clippings. A vet check proved she was unijured just under weight, unable to find enough to eat. Nessie stayed with us for the next three weeks, she was the first of the badger that we had tested for Bovine Tb and Coccidia. A nerve wracking wait for the results - luckily all was clear - and Nessie could travel up to Secret World .
Honey June 17th Caerhays
This poor badger looked horribly disfigured by an enormous swelling on her face. At the vets she was sedated and the abscess was drained and cleaned. Two weeks of rest and care, transformed her and she was released.
A badger took refuge in a garage. actually squeezed in to a cat carrier. We were surprised to find a fully grown badger inside it. Rupert had bite wounds on the rump and chest which had been fly struck. With treatment these problems soon resolved and Rupert was fit to return two weeks later.
Custard. Cream and Crumb June 23rd Gwithian
