We received a call from the R.S.P.C.A about a badger cub found in a barn so we went to collect it we found it to be weak and very thin. while on route we recived another call from the R.S.P.C.A about a cub at the vets in Newquay and could we take this one as well so we said yes and headed off to collect it. when we arrived at the vets they brought out a very poorly cub which sadly passed away on the way home. The first cub had a check up and was then taken home and settled in to our front room.

We received a call from Trelissick Gardens concerning a badger found on one of their paths it was said to be in a bad way and could we help. We immediatly went to collect the badger which turned out to be another cub unable to stand and it was very wet and muddy. We rushed it to the vets, fearing the worst, but to our suprise when we got to the vets the badger had started to recover we think the heat in the car had helped to bring this about. The vets then treated the badger with antibiotics and pain killers although no obvious injuries found, the cub was to young to be returned so we took her home and settled her in with the other 2 cubs.
Two days later, another cub was found on the same path in a similair condition very wet muddy and cold sadly this on did not make it. We think severe weather conditions had caused damage to the sett and this cub had taken longer to get out hence its worse condition.

The 3 cubs have now gone to Secret World to be put with some others there, to make a new family group, which will later be released
